JOHN 4:4 “God is spirit; and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

OBJECTIVE
To promote orderly, spiritual and uplifting worship assemblies

GUIDELINES
To see that a proper duty roster is prepared, setting out all members serving in worship service
To select a suitable usher who:
will welcome members and visitors at the door; assist with any other duties i.e. hand out bulletins, take names of visitor etc.
To ensure that suitably qualified persons are used in each specialised role which
need to be fulfilled and that as many members as possible are involved
To assume the responsibility of liaising with the church secretary weekly and have announcements at the beginning of worship service
To ensure that preaching replacements are arranged, particularly when the resident minister is away
To ensure the worship service generally runs timeously and smoothly, ensuring a spiritual atmosphere prevails at all times
To liaise with other ministries as far as possible i.e. visitors, absent members where noticed
To organise and monitor items such as communion preparation, baptismal clothing and towels, condition of the baptistery, hymn books, sound equipment, etc.
To co-ordinate meetings and communication forums where topics and issues affecting the serving ministry are presented and discussed
