Prison Ministry

MATTHEW 25:36-39 “I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' 37 "Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'”

OBJECTIVES
To ensure that the word is not only disseminated to the lost but also that a structured approach is used to ensure that those who are accessible are visited and encouraged in the Correctional Centers.

GUIDELINES
Correctional centers visits are conducted and coordinated with the various centers
They are visited every third Sunday of the month
An intention of this project is to present lessons and maintain communication with those prisoners who are enrolled with World Bible School (WBS) and encourage those who would like to enroll with WBS
The coordinator of World Bible School does the corresponding with the various contact people and spiritual counsellors to ensure arranged visits
A new approach which enhances the participation and interests of the relevant prison officials has been highly successful
The vibrancy and success of this ministry is the constant search for new territory and methods to reach the incarcerated for Christ
The ministry tries to help ex-offenders as they reintegrate back into society where possible
